It’s always nice to surprise someone with a unique, original, gift. With a smart home gift, that is pretty easy. New smart products keep coming out, so here are some cool smart home products that everyone is going to like.

LaMetric Time Wi-Fi Clock

The LaMetric Wifi Clock isn’t just a clock, it can do so much more. The LaMetric Time can be controlled with your smartphone or connected to your Smart Home with Google Assistant, Alex or Homey.

It can not only show the time, but it can also display the weather, smartphone notifications, visual equalizer for Spotify, amount of YouTube subscribers. You name it, and there is an app for it.

This is by far one of the coolest Smart Home Gifts for 2021. Here is a link to Amazon if you want to know more about it.

Jimi S3 Smart Mug

Everybody likes warm coffee or thee. The new Smart Mug from Jimi is really nice. It can keep your coffee or thee at a temperature between 95°F-149°F (35°C-65°C) for 2-8 hours.

The innovative touch button in the handle is really nice, but as a trough smart product, you can also control it with your smartphone. The built-in led display shows you the current temperature.

Tile Mate

You are about to leave the house, but you can’t find your wallet or keys, sound familiar? Probably, because this is something we all experience a couple of times a year.

Now instead of searching through the house, asking everyone if they have seen your keys, you could also find them with your smartphone. The Tile Mate is the best-selling Bluetooth tracker on the market.

Now you might think, Bluetooth tracker, what has that to do with a smart home. Well, the new Tile Mate can be integrated with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, or Siri.

So this tracker is the perfect Smart Home Gift, you simply can’t go wrong with this one. And you can buy 1 Tile Mate for less than $20 on Amazon.

Smart Essential Oil Diffuser

Not something I would buy myself pretty soon, but this is one of those products that you don’t see a lot yet, a Smart Diffuser. This one doesn’t only create a nice scent in the house, but it also creates a beautiful mist.

The diffuser can be controlled with an app or with Alexa or Google Assistant. The combination of the LED lights and the mist makes it a really cool product.

With a price of around $40 is it a perfect Smart Home Gift for everyone.

Making the perfect steak can be challenging, atleast I find it challenging. Medium rare end up as well done if I am in the kitchen. With the Meater you simply can’t screw up.

All you have to do is insert the Meater probe in the meat, select the recipe in the app and follow the instructions. It will tell you the temperature of the oven and the meat of course and tell you the remaining cooking time.

You can connect Meater with Alexa, so you can simply ask Alexa how long until your steak is done. For more information make sure you check the Meater on Amazon.

Smart Home Gifts for Dad

A Smart Home is, in general, the playground of the men in the house. So if you are looking for smart home gifts for your dad, husband or brother then I got some cool products for you.

NEXX Garage Door Opener

The Smart Home product that everyone with a garage should have, the NEXX Garage NXG-100 Door Opener. With this small hub, you can control your current “dumb” garage door opener from your smartphone or with Alexa, Google Assistant, or other Smart Home Hubs.

The NXG-100 is a bit more expensive than the popular MyQ Garage Door Opener, but for the latter, you will need a subscription, which will cost you more in the end.

Smart Oil Gauge

This is one of those Smart products that are really useful. If you have an oil tank then nothing is so annoying as checking the fuel level every couple of weeks.

With the Smart Oil Gauge, you can completely check the fuel level and history from your smartphone, tablet, or internet. And you can connect it with Amazon Alexa to keep you informed.

Rachio 3 Smart Sprinkler Controller

Most sprinkler systems run on a schedule and will keep running no matter the weather. So if it rains then the sprinkler may still turn on. A waste of money and water of course.

With the Rachio 3 Smart Sprinkler Controller, you can now save on your water bill with a fully automatic sprinkler system. Based on the weather it will skip watering if it’s raining, freezing, too windy, and more.

You can control the Rachio 3 with your smartphone and connect it with the smartest Hub platforms. More information about Rachio can be found here on Amazon.

Smart Bluetooth BBQ Grill Thermometer

Men like to barbeque, but making the perfect steak on a bbq is pretty hard to do. With the Smart BBQ Thermometer, you can now keep a close eye on your steak while you are drinking a bear with your friends.

The thermometer works just like the Meater, it comes with some built-in recipes so you will get notified when the steak is medium-rare or well-done. All you have to do is stay in the Bluetooth range of the thermometer.

I suggest getting the Multi-probe, it isn’t really expensive and most of the time you have more than one piece of meat on the BBQ.

Smart Home Gifts for Mom

While smart home products are most of the time the domain of the men in the house, there are also some really nice Smart Home Gifts for women on the market.

Furbo Dog Camera

We all love our pets and but most of the time we can’t take them with us when need to go away. Dogs can stay at home for a couple of hours without any problems, but it’s always nice if you can keep an eye on them.

The Furbo Dog Camera is a smart camera that allows you to interact with your dog when you are not at home. You can see, talk and even toss a treat to your dog al from your smartphone.

When your dog barks you get a real-time alert, so you can check what is wrong or calm the dogs by talking to them. If you have a dog then the Furbo Dog Camera is a really nice Smart Home Gift.

Gladwell Gecko Robot Window Cleaner

Nobody likes to clean windows, so what if a robot can do it for you? The Gecko Robot Window Cleaner will fully automatically clean the windows in your house. All you have to do is place the robot on a window.

The robot can’t fall, so you can safely use it for does unable to reach windows or even the outside of your house. The only downside of the Gecko is that it can reach the corners of the windows very well.

When Gecko is done cleaning it will send you a notification so you can move it to the next window. Gecko isn’t really fast, but hey, you can spend your time on something else.

Anova Culinary Sous Vide Precision Cooker

Sous vide cooking is getting popular for home cooks for a good reason. With Sous vide cooking you can cook at the precise temperature to deliver a consistent restaurant-quality result.

With sous vide you cook the food (mostly meat) in a vacuum-sealed bag. This way it stays more juicy and tender than when you cook it on a normal heat source. If you want to know more about Sous vide cooking you should really check out this article from Anova.

The Anova Precision Cooker comes with an app so you can easily check the progress, control the cooker, and get notified when the food is done.

Always good gif

The Smart Home Products above are nice gifts, but if that is not what you are looking for, then the products below are always good to give.

In a smart home, you never have too many sensors or smart lights. You can always use an extra sensor to do something nice with it. With the smart home products below you can’t go wrong.

Aeotec Multisensor 6

The Aeotec Multisensor is one of the best smart home sensors in the market. What makes it unique is its versatile use cases. The sensors can monitor motion, temperature, humidity, light, UV, and vibration.

The small design, only 1.8 inches (4,5cm), allows it to place in almost any location without drawing too much attention. The sensors use the latest Z-Wave technology making it compatible with almost any smart home system.

If you don’t know what to give, and you are looking for a smart home gift, then this is one of the safest options to go for.

Smart Plugs

There are a lot of smart plugs on the market and the most that you can buy on Amazon are relatively cheap and popular. But they are also not real smart plugs. Yes, they can talk with Alexa or Google and turn your device on or off.

But a real smart plug can do more than that. It can measure energy consumption and uses the smart protocol Z-Wave or Zigbee. The cheaper models use the WiFi protocol which isn’t optimal for a smart home network.

Some good options are the smart plugs from Samsung SmartThings or the plugs from Aeotec.

I hope you found a nice Smart Home Gift between one of the products above. With a smart home product, you can really give something that definitely will be used.
